Grandma's Potato Dumplings

by Waverly Wilde

Ingredients

1 cup of leftover mash potatoes

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Directions

In a bowl add all ingredients and mix thoroughly.

In a large pan boil water on medium-high heat, cut in ¼ sections. On a floured surface, roll out ¼ section of potato dough into a rope and cut into 1” bite-size.

Drop into boiling water until they float to the top. Remove into a bowl. In a large sauté pan add 1 onion and 1 stick of butter. Sauté onion until tender and then add cooked dumplings and brown lightly.

To freeze: After boiling, spread out on pan and freeze for about 1 hour and transfer into Ziploc bag and freeze for another time.
